Shannon Hills - Arrest warrants were issued Friday for two Shannon Hills residents who police say have been manufacturing methamphetamine.

Investigators found a meth lab in the middle of a residential neighborhood on Donnie Drive earlier this week, near the Shannon Hills police department.

John and Rebecca Clements are now facing felony drug and firearms charges. They are believed to be out of state on vacation.

Police say an online service called Leads on Labs helped them find the lab.

The service tracks the names of people who purchase cold medicine, which is used to make meth.

(Chief Richard Friend, Shannon Hills Police Dept.) “Because of the lack of manpower, it's really an impressive tool, because this could have taken months to gather that type of info he had. But in a matter of about ten seconds we had done a complete search of every box he had bought in monitored stores since the first of the year.”

LeadsOnlabs says, right now in Arkansas, only about 30 pharmacies are currently online.

The tracking service is free for pharmacies to use, but the city or law enforcement agency has to foot the bill.
